Seamus McCauley

I'm the Strategic Analyst at Associated Northcliffe Digital (AND), part of FTSE-250 listed Daily Mail and General Trust. My work for AND involves strategic planning, speechwriting, competitive and market analysis across the group's range of digital media activities as well as work with our acquisitions and NPD teams.

Before that I worked in Business Development in the City selling realtime market data technology and training stockbrokers and investment bankers how to use it; worked for a technical analysis investment website during the millenial dotcom bubble under a range of more-or-less fanciful job titles including Sales Manager and Deputy Editor; worked on the launch of a stockmarket magazine; and lived in the Malaysian rainforest outside Kuala Lumpur in a house called "Inefficient Cat" not really earning a living as a travel writer, photographer or amateur housebuilder.

I hold an MA (Oxon) in Modern History and an open scholarship from Brasenose College. I grew up in Wharfedale and live in London, England, with my wife Elaine. Because I'm in London and comments on my blog are moderated, if you comment while it's the middle of the night here (ie most of the US daytime) your comment might not appear for a few hours. Don't take it personally - I publish any comment that's not spam, abuse or porn, I just have to be awake to do it.
