How to announce a major expansion of your business

One of the 100 most popular websites in the world, a website that has redefined the business model for much of its industry, just announced the expansion of its global footprint by 27% from 450 to 570 cities. This expansion immediately introduces a major competitive threat to newspaper publishers and any other media businesses relying on a paid classified advertising model, online or off, in those 120 cities. And the way the company chose to announce this?

"Well, we just added what looks like 120 new cities, bringing it to 570, I think.  (gotta confirm)" says Craig Newmark, not on the new Craigslist company blog but on his own personal page.

You gotta love Craigslist.
