Digg has hidden the list of top Diggers. The move is ostensibly intended to make it harder to game (MuLife) the news aggregator.
Scott Karp wonders whether it is possible to quash the natural tendency of a handful of super-users to make the running (and points out that the reaction of Diggers is pretty mixed). Steve Rubel thinks it will demotivate people from Digging. I think this is the web. If Digg won't host a top Diggers table and some people want that table, it'll turn up somewhere else. Anyone want to bet that someone won't have knocked up a simple search routine to replicate the top Diggers table by the end of the weekend?
Update: and here it is in a post which (I think) given the time-difference (very slightly) post-dates my guess that this would happen.
