Tribute Island (2)

Last week I mentioned that some friends and colleagues in our NPD division had just put the finishing touches to Tribute Island, the Second Life island that accompanies our LastingTribute website. The island opened over the weekend and you can now visit it here (slurl).

I just had a bit of a poke around. It is (and I suppose I would say this, but it's true) very nicely put together, and parts of it rather moving. The closest I've come to losing someone in the wars currently going on in the middle east was hearing earlier this year that a guy I knew slightly from the year below me at school had been killed in Basra, but it was oddly affecting to walk around the military cemetery on Tribute Island looking out for his name.
